Hi All!
Our first update of the year! And we have not been idle…
@Brothers in Games we are creators and have a lot of game ideas that are floating around. And for these we always make a prototype as fast as we can. If it reads right, sounds right, it can still be a big miss when you actually create (a basic) version of the game. Especially if you are trying out new game mechanics. E.g. for a game we were extremely happy about during our ideation, when played it proved to feel too repetitive and out of touch with other players. Even though each move was different the action itself was repeated too often because we ‘optimized’ for pure gameplay for each player. This made that players were overwhelmed and hardly had time to see what other players were doing. So optimizing for pure gameplay also means that players should have time to interact and see what are players are doing. Playtime should not be taken too literally 😉 and players should have enough room for interaction and strategizing, especially as complexity increases. So if you want to create a game we cannot stress enough: build a prototype asap! don’t linger in analyses. And make sure there is enough headspace and time for players to enjoy a game while playing.
And the above process through fast prototyping is also something we used for our third game. It has the same high standards we apply to all our games. So we are happy to announcer third game: ‘Woof!’ BAM there it is!

What is ‘Woof!’? Woof is a bluffing game. Where you will stare at your opponents a lot to see if they are bluffing… Are you good at reading people? A king at bluffing? or able to think fast… Then this is a game for you!! We will share more details in the coming weeks. It is good to know, however, that things with Woof! can get really intense… we love the level of interaction and intensity it brings. Looking players in the eye to read them… or not. We truly cannot wait for players to enjoy and experience Woof! Stay tuned for more soon…
