The military cards
Commanders
However, no army is complete without some commanders! So each type of card, except for the bomb, has a commander that beats the other cards of the same type!

Weather
The battles are fierce, and the outcome is determined by the weather-related strength of your cards.
When determining the weather you can play two variants:
- Determine one type of weather per campaign. (1 campaign = 8 battles = everyone emptying their hands)
- Or go for a more complex and daring dynamic where mid campaign (after 4 battles) you draw an additional weather card to see if the weather changes. (Credits to ‘One board family‘ since they came up with this variant reviewing the game! Gaming community at its best. )

One box to rule them all!
- Lid attached.
- Durable material and design.
- For the Sleevers: When you remove the inlay it still fits the whole game with sleeves.

Whats in the box?
- 40 military cards
- 5 weather cards
- 2 reference cards
- rulebook
- NEW & EXTRA: 1 player guide for 4 players

Is Slava a difficult game to learn for beginners?
No, Slava is designed as a “gateway wargame,” meaning it provides the strategic depth of a historical war game with simplified rules that can be learned in 10 minutes. It is the perfect bridge for players moving from classic board games to more complex strategy titles.
How many players can play Slava, and is there a solo mode?
Slava is optimized for 3 to 5 players. And also has a 2 vs 2 game mode that is played a lot in the community. In a 2-player game, it’s more about preparing for the 3 to 5 player games, where you play with an automated deck. So you always shuffle for a minimum of three players. There is no solo mode available for Slava.
How long does a game of Slava typically last?
A standard session of Slava lasts between 20 and 45 minutes. Mainly depending on the number of players, where a five player game will take up to 45 minutes. Since you play until a player has received 3 victory points. This quick playtime allows for multiple campaigns in a single evening, making it an excellent choice for both a quick strategic “filler” or a repeated tournament-style game night.
What is the historical inspiration behind the board game Slava?
Slava is inspired by historical European conflicts, focusing on the concept of varying unit strength depending on the weather conditions and tactical choices. The name “Slava” translates to “Glory,” reflecting the game’s core objective: achieving victory through superior tactics and a balance of power since you can also effect who can win if you cannot in a campaign.
What are the core gameplay mechanics of Slava?
Slava utilizes a unique take on trick-taking. Where its not the total trick you have to win but you have the be the last man standing of a trick since every time a military card is played a battle is resolved.
